❤️ There is no more happiness than having a mother. A mother is an indispensable part of your life who is here to stay with and protect you—no matter what could happen.

She truly cares about your needs in life, letting you live in a safe environment, giving you the best education, and so on. A day or year isn’t enough to thank her and give back for every time she has done; she had eaten less of her meal so that you could have more or sacrificed all her sleep to make sure you were doing well. From that, you should be acutely thankful to your mother for letting you enjoy life. ❤️

Written by an unknown author, it tells the story of a son who had such a wonderful mother but hated her just because of possessing one eye. His friends at school teased him because of having a “special” mom, which made him so embarrassed. By then, he gave her a scornful eye-like and hateful look. He wished he could leave his house as soon as possible and he wished his mother would have died.

Studying abroad was his concept. Knowing himself to be mocked and humiliated in front of his classmates, he assured himself he would try his best and study hard in order to get that chance, thus staying away from his beloved mother. Later, he had a successful job, got married, bought a house of his own, and had kids. He was happy to have such a blissful life—without his mother’s presence.

Then one day, his mother visited him. He thought he would never see her again but rudely yelled at her, scared his children, and came to his house without informing him. She was shocked and left him with her response, “Oh, I may have gotten to the wrong address.”, and passed from his sight.

A few months later, a school reunion sent a letter to his house. He went for it. After that, when he came back to his old house, his neighbors informed him that his mother had breathed her last.

Then they handed him a letter.

“My dearest son,

I’m sorry that I came to your house and scare your children. I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the school’s reunion. But I may not be able to even get out of my bed to see you. I’m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

You see… when you were very little, you got into a fatal accident and lost one of your eyes. That day as a mother, I couldn’t stand watching you having to grow up and live with only one eye when I was having two eyes. So I decided to give you one eye of mine. I was so proud of my son who is seeing a whole new world for me, in my place, with that eye.

With all my love to you,

Your mom.”

At first, he was apathetic and did not shed any tears for her. Later, he realized that his mother had “saved” his life by giving her one eye to him. (from the letter she wrote) He felt apologetic, grieved at his mother’s death, and now understood that she had shown her deep love and given happiness to him.
